The game was announced by Takara Tomy in June 2020, with details of the game being included in the monthly Corocoro comic magazines. In the September issue of Corocoro comic, demo codes were released allowing readers to download and play the game prior to the full release. The game is set to be released in Winter 2020. A limited edition version of the game is available that comes with Rising Liger Buster Cannons, as seen in episode 40 of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime.
